MADHU’S WORKSHOP ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ November 23, 2010

today was the day were i was really nervous about because today was my workshop. i was ready though. i had a plan as well. firstly, i decided to show my audience a power point on sanskrit theater. i didn’t have much slide. i did like 16 slides. i thought that i will spend like 15-20  minutes on that because sanskrit theater is all about indian theater, Indian culture, holy books of Indian. but i was so nervous that i explained every thing every quickly and my power point finished in like 10 minutes. but the good thing was in that 10 minutes my audience learnt a lot about indian culture, the sanskrit theater, the Indian’s holy book etc. that time i feel very happy that i could teach my audience something 🙂 and i have to say that my audience was really really paying attention towards by power point. after i showing the video i asked them to tell me something about something theater and they said everything which was in my power point. they even remembered the sanskrit name. which i think is really hard. i was really proud on them:). the good thing was every one gave me answer it was not only one person who was giving me answer. i think for a leader this is a very good thing that his/her audience replied to the question. the audience reply to the question when they have interest in the thing or they want to learn something and i think that being the leader for my workshop this was a very big achievement for me.  i was proud on my self as well 🙂 because i was able to teach something about sanskrit theater.  i was very happy for that :).

after showing the power point my asked every one to sit in a circle. than i gave every one a an emotion and they have to show that emotion with their eyes. i thought it is very important for sanskrit theater. i gave them different emotions like happiness, sadness, guilty etc. they were pretty good at that :).

after that, i asked them to do the same thing with their body. they have to show their emotions by their body movement. they were pretty good at this things well :). i just asked them and they did it. they didn’t ask for help. they did everything by their own and for a leader this is a very good thing because the leader asked every one to something and they did it without saying anything :).

after all the activities, i tried to give every one a summary about the sanskrit theater. but as i started telling, every one said each and every thing to me about sanskrit theater. i was really shocked by seeing that. what every i asked them about Sanskrit theater they told me the answer. that make me feel very good :).

29th november 2010

for today’s class i decided to  do a shot play on shakuntala, which is a sanskrit theater. i made a script. the script wasn’t too long. it had like 3-4 scenes. first when i gave the script to the people i thought that they will not enjoy it because shakuntala was a story of indian god and goddess. but i was wrong thy had fun in that short play. i gave each and every one a role. like Adiba was shakuntala, Sadman was king Dushyant, mashroor was king Dshyant’s friend and naureen and parul was the narrator plus they did some double roles. i told the story of shakuntala yesterday and i was surprised my seeing that each and very one remembered the whole story. that make my work more easy. i asked them to improvise. they did improvise very well. i was really really happy :). what ever i explained they listen to me. they were very good in acting as well. i asked all of them to be dramatic because in sanskrit theater the actors have to be very dramatic. this is very important for sanskrit theater.  as the play start every one looked like that they were in the character. every one was paying attention toward the play. for the first scene some people had some problems reading the script. it was all my fault. i wrote the script by hand and photocopy it. i felt very sad for that :(. but still i was happy that every one was improvising. they were not looking at my mistakes in the script done by me :). but all of them did a very good job. i didn’t really expect this from them. at the last scene i also include some songs in the play. the song was really good i think and it goes with the story as well. the song was in hindi. i thought it will be very stupid to include a song of different language which the people doesn’t know. but then when miss told me that understanding the song is not that much important and having a song in  the play will be really good. than i played the music or otherwise i wouldn’t do it. every one was dancing on the song including miss Gisele :). i think that was the best part of my workshop. i just loved it 🙂 🙂 🙂 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. every one looked so happy and energetic. it was really good :) 🙂 :). that time i really loved my workshop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. every thing went so well. after the was done with my workshop i feel like to do the last part again. the last part was shakuntala’s marriage with king dushyant. in the play adiba was shakuntala and sadman was king dushyant. so in the last part adiba and sadman was getting married and all the other people were dancing on the shakuntala song. i just love it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. i wish i could do something like is again 🙂 🙂 🙂 ♥♥♥♥.
